Game1: Black vs Red – “no Dean, no problem”
Black goes on an early run causing the red team to call an early timeout. Red then goes on a run of their own and almost evens things up at half, 30-29. Good all around play for both teams for the first half. Red team managed to stay close with their ball movement on the zone defense but then the ‘Kit’ factor kicked in … with his savvy drives to the hoop, the clever guard went 5 for 7 on the charity stripe. The trio of Chris Ascuncion (19), Rondon(12) and Carlo(9) did most of the damage with Matthew(8) not far behind. The black team had a balanced attack with Ryan(13), Kit(12), Marwin and Allan (9each), and Charles(8).
Injury news: Ramil will be out for the season due to a severe right-ankle sprain that will leave him cheering on the sidelines for the next few months …. ouch it hurts to write that!

Game2: Purple vs Silver – “Mr. Consistency”
Another classic showdown with physicality written all over it. I don’t know what it is with this purple team with playing close games in the end. I’m thinking this is going to be a dangerous team in the playoffs. Their record may now show it but they could beat you with that deep roster. Alejandro had an off night but his teammates stepped up namely Ervin(10), Bal(9), Jeff(8). This is supposed to be a shooter’s dream team but the long range bombs are being contested and passes are not making its way around the horn efficiently and this is why we’re not seeing more 3pt success.
The defending champs are finding out the hard way how difficult it is to defend a championship. With their hard-nosed shooting guard, Ryan D, possibly out for the rest of the season according to league sources, the silver team will need to step up the D and start climbing back up the rankings. With Brad and Christian in double-digits, a depleted front-court … they’re gonna need a lot more help from that formidable front court. They have great consistency in Christian(19) and Brad(11) but need more production from the rest of the team. But this team will figure it out so don’t count them out.
